Hello! I am potentially interested in starting a Linux User Group for my
city, and wanted to see if anyone on here had any suggestions. What kind
of steps should I take, and what activities would be good as a group?
I'd love to hear suggestions!

CACVEAT LECTOR ;/ I monitor alt.comp.linux

Step *ZERO*: Do search for "how to ask a question"
1. Why form a LUG?
2. What would be it's "raison d'etre"?
3. How far to nearest LUG?
There are LUGs in Manhattan. Be it NY or KS ;}
4. Why not join one?
5. Why join *YOUR* LUG?

I'm yanking your chain (as mine has been) <ROFL>

IOW I doubt you have asked YOURself:
right questions
enough questions

YMMV
Best wishes
