Running Vista Business 64
64 bit Media Player 11

Crashes when loaded every time. I would normally uninstall reinstall in a
circumstance like this but it seems MS has not made this possible. Any
thoughts on this problem?

Windows Vista is NOT Windows XP and Vista 64 most emphatically is not XP. I
really wanted you to be right but Bill's minions have made it much more
difficult than XP.

I now have a Microsoft program that:
Doesn't Work
Can't be uninstalled
Can't be fixed

Way to go MS!

Download the fresh version of WMP11 and reinstall it overtop itself,
your copy may have corrupt files.

Except there is no download for Windows Media Player 11 for Vista on
that site, it is an integrated part of the OS system itself and is not
a component that can be uninstalled.

The best option I've found is to put in your Vista Installation DVD
and reboot your machine. Boot form the CD and perform a Repair
installation.

Appears we have the same problem.. My sound card wasn't correctly working
when i did this... But I installed some codecs for vista and i believe that's
when it stoped working. I installed winamp to play my songs. it worked untill
i dug into my codecs to get a equalizer.. So im almost positve it is a codec
problem.
