Using OE6, XP MCE/SP2.
Google search tells me Tools/Options/Edit but I don't have an Edit tab
there.
I have 3 PC's and it only happens on one.

Tap the Insert key once.

Thanks for the reply, it's a laptop and doesn't have an Insert key.
Must be Fn and something so I'll try them all.

Not likely. RTFM. It will tell you where is the Insert key. No one
can tell you where it is because you didn't identify your laptop by
brand and model. Some examples of key placement are shown below:

(right end of spacebar)


(upper right corner)


(upper right corner)

Looking at the keycaps should make it obvious as to which is used for
the Ins(ert) key.
