AX 2009 and AX 2012 is some of the best ERP systems around.

If it does what you expect it to do - You can keep it for years to come.
Ofcourse both Microsoft and your ERP Vendor does not like this idea.

In fact - you can "reset to factory settings" and start up without any customization on a brand new database - if that is what you like.
